Hey students! Same as Tuesday. Please complete the "Addison Joins the Quest" if you haven't already. Then you can work on the class project I assigned a week ago. I have assigned a second class project today called the "Damage Block Project. You have the opportunity to earn a damage block sprite by completing it.
PLease make sure both class projects get completed by the time of their due dates.
Also, when you go to complete the actual project assignment, please be creative. You have the opportunity to create a really cool and in depth game there, so take advantage. The more creative and thoughtful your game design is, the better your grade on the assignment is going to be.
Good Afternoon everyone,
We are going to discuss our first class project today.
I will be using a mix of the projector and Remote Desktop to share the steps w
Weekly Journal Entry #7
Describe one thing you're really good at.
After you have finished with the weekly journal entry, please open your excel budget.
Here is a reminder of some key terms I have been using:
Gross Annual Income: How much money you are paid in one year (total).
Gross Monthly Income: How much money you are paid each month (=Gross Annual Income / 12 months).
Net Monthly Income: How much money you have left each month after taxes are taken out. (=Gross Monthly Income - Taxes).
Expenses: Everything you have to pay for in your monthly budget. All of your expenses get subtracted from your Net Monthly Income.
Since this is a going to be a short week I am going to push back the continuation of excel. Lots of reasons for this. Instead, today we are going to re-visit a web site that has been super important to me for many many years. Last Friday, with Mr. Dinardo, you completed the assignment below in a word document. Today you are going to move those summaries over into weebly. Please re-read the assignment below to remind yourself of the assignment.
The website and newspaper, LA YOUTH, has been around for 25 years. What's so special about it is that it is written by teens in Los Angeles. It is unique to Los Angeles and has been providing a voice to the experiences of Los Angeles teens for more than two decades. Sadly, this month it is coming to a close. Financial hardship is forcing it to close it's doors and shut down the newspaper.
What I would like you to do today, is visit www.layouth.com and read no less than three articles. Search through the homepage, search the "archives" and more. Then, go to your weebly blog and do the following:
Write a summary of at least three of the articles you read. Explain how they relate to you, what you found interesting, and add a picture.
It's very important not to steal the words and pictures of others, so I will show you how to cite your sources today after you have had a chance to get started reading.
Once you finish this assignment you may use Brainpop.
