Good Afternoon. Get that digital culture bag opened from last class. Spend the first 30 minutes of class working on it.
Remember our definition of Culture: attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterize you.
Your image should be a SYMBOL (a thing that represents or stands for something else or abstract). Last class many of you were doing a great job thinking up symbols to represent parts of your culture. For instance, consider the slides below.
"The image of the Lego bricks symbolizes me because I am a very creative person. There is nothing more creative than a pile of LEGO bricks. You can literally create anything you want to if you have enough of them, and a large imagination. I am the kind of person who sees the creative possibility in everything."
Last reminder: be careful not to let your slides become "show-and-tell." This is a thinking assignment. You should really think deeply about the images and words you choose. If in doubt, call me over to look at your slide.
